I like Soak as a move. It's an interesting effect which can serve you well if played correctly. It's just that when you imagine it in practise, things get weird. Maybe it would have worked better as a Ghost move? I don't know. This is what keeps me up at nights.

Pokemon Black/White 2 strips comes next update. See y'all then.

...While this was funny, I think it might have been executed better if the Pokémon hit with Soak was of the Charmander line or the Slugma line. Or maybe the Eevee line.

Charmander was definitely a candidate, but with all of the pokemaniacs flaunting their knowledge, being responsible for killing a mon on-screen probably would have been received worse. Was there something in the last panel that made you believe Magmar was a subpar choice?

Good point. I don't think that Magmar is sub-par, the comic was still funny and worked well, I just felt that doing it with a Pokémon that depended on fire instead of simply being a Fire-type would be funnier. But you're right, that might not have been received as well.
