Huge medal fan by Bummerdude Huge medal fan by Bummerdude
I've duplicated so much lineart in this strip. I feel dirty.

All things considered, introducing achievements to Pokémon made for a nice novelty in B2W2. Some are hard to get, some are completed automatically, and some leaves you questioning your past life choices. Family fun for all ages and below.

:iconarturistic: also made a strip regarding Mr Medal's existence, but other than that, this guy has gotten surprisingly little attention. Had to complete a new medal just so I could get his sprite as a drawing reference.

Nice one!

I hope the Medal System is a reoccurring feature in later Pokémon games. Though Game Freak should make certain medal requirements easier. (I think the "Scored 1000" medal was made as a cruel joke on Game Freak's part.) Nonetheless, I currently have over 240 medals. :D

Including the medals was an interesting move. I never did understand the craze of receiving medals in games in general as they technically don't do anything (for the most part). It's as if the company noticed how they're not doing it so they incorporated it in the game just because. I dunno. It's nothing bad and I don't dislike it, but I'm not amazed by it either. Haha.

Enough about that though, the expressions in this are great. That last panel in particular is so wonderfully done.

Badges are the same as achievements. They do nothing, but they create the desire to collect them nonetheless as they make the gamers feel accomplished or successful. It's used often, and it works.

And thanks. C:
