Gotta go fast by Bummerdude Gotta go fast by Bummerdude
Nobody expects the Sportish Inquisition!

A friendly bloke named eworm, on the topic of B buttons, suggested that I could make a strip about Running Shoes while I was at it. While I dismissed his original idea (sorry mang), the thought was still left with me and I started to play around with it. And it ended up as an unlawful method for olympic events. Go figure.

Although one of my worries is that this strip isn't as clearly related to Pokémon as my other strips, so hence the use of the International Police and.....some squiggly pokéball lines on the runner's vests. Maybe I should have drawn blimps, but I had pushed this ahead enough already so HERE GOES NOTHING.

I frequently wonder why someone would add a button to a pair of shoes for running...

XD B-powered. That was a cool name. Maybe if you had added Looker from Platinum, it could have had more relation.

See, back in my day, we didn't have no fancy b-powered acceleration. You know what we had? Walkin'. The only way you could win a race is by walkin in a straight line, that is IF the d-pad registered your movement.

These damn kids just wanna rush by all the scenery these days. Back in MY day, we didn't even HAVE no scenery, everything was hardly in color, and we STILL had to walk by it.

And we could only bring one bag with us, and it sure ain't had several pockets, we all had to stuff our items and loot together. Back in my day, we had to THROW THINGS AWAY. It taught us about priorities and sacrifices, two things you punks know nuffin' 'bout.

And trainin' wadnt no walk in the park either. When all the trainers was beaten, ya had to train on the WILD Pokémon before the elite four. It could take days, months, who knows? Old Kellers half starved to death tryn'a grind for Sabrina. And we didn't have no clue about when we was gonna level up either. We didn't have no fancy noise makin' blue bar like y'all have these days.

Hidden machines of today are anything 'sides HIDDEN. I've had to massage the back of a sick man, blackmail a celebrity and navigate a twisted jungle to obtain the sheer TOOLS of exploration, while today they're given out left and right with no effort whatsoever. Is a crying SHAME is what it is. And even when you've taught your sorry bunch of teammates dem moves, you can EASILY remove them. But when WE taught HMs, we decided their very FATE. If you had taught your starter Cut, he would be a cutter for LIFE. Back then, HM Slaves weren't a occupation, it was an ETERNAL PROFESSION.

So would you STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT THE LONG TRIP TO THE MOVE DELETER.

Oh, those folks of Interpol, always showing up where you least expect them and always on foot despite the fact you are on top of a waterfall. Methinks they partake in this shoe trade as well.

I just adore your comics, they always make me laugh~
This one was definitely a joke that's just so great for the oh exploitable shoes. And I actually had no issue on figuring if it was pokemon related or not, in fact I thought the athletes were from the Pokeathalon since the colors of the jerseys xD The international police actually threw me off for a second
Still, lovely comics, and can't wait to see more~

They're not 100% illegal, you just can't use them in an official race like this. You can use them in the overworld as much as you want
